Application Support Analyst

I am seeking an Application Support Analyst to work in a well-established team for a market leading blue chip professional services company who are based in north Bristol.
The successful candidate will provide 1st and 2nd Line phone based support to a network of internal customers on a specific portfolio of industry specific software applications. Your role will be to ensure that all problems are either solved or escalated to the software development team. You will be required to be aware of and stick to the Service Level Agreement, and ensure that you do all in your power to meet these service levels.
You will be responsible for logging calls and communicating all issues to other members of the IT team, using email and the phone as your primary methods of communication. You will provide support to bespoke software products within a professional services environment, and you will be expected to become an expert in how to operate the software and how it is used both throughout the business and externally. You will work closely with the end users to talk them through the different how the products work, and provide timely and helpful advice to them where required. In addition to this, you will have responsibility for the route cause analysis of common software support issues, allowing you to prevent ongoing issues as well as fixing problems as they arise.

This position will suit an individual who has excellent customer service skills, and who will have some awareness of software development languages such as SQL or C#. Ideally, you will either have an advanced BTec or Degree in a software development related degree, and you will have a real passion for IT. Excellent communication skills are an essential prerequisite of this role.
